The lamb special was perfect, fall of the bone tender, with seasoned rice cooked in a pot with pure butter for 3 hours. It's once a month but worth the wait. The tea was a great treat after the meal, courtesy of Sharky. The hookah with wood coals was really smooth. A noticeable difference if your into hookah.

Me and my friend accidentally found this place when we arrived to San Francisco at 10pm on 5/26 and realized literally all other restaurants in the area were closed. We were the last 2 customers in the restaurant and the owner was the one who hosted us, and cooked all the food/hookah himself. Nothing is prepared in this restaurant, all the food is fresh and tasted delicious. We did not expect to be that lucky in such a late hour, we've had an amazing dinner and I also had a hookah and fresh pomegranate juice which was very refreshing. The hookah tasted great, I think that's the only hookah with natural coil I've ever smoked in the US. I think the owner mentioned he had this place for 30+ years, and you can really tell he cares about his customers. Will definitely come again once I'll be back to San Francisco!

This place is the best. I used to visit often when I lived in Fillmore street. Now, I will happy drive across town on a Friday evening to enjoy some real, classic hookah. The staff are as authentic as it comes, the food is delicious, and the double apple is the best. The ambiance will transport you to another time. Bring your friends!

Nice restaurant on Fillmore...with kebabs in various poultry selections..hookah bar and Greek appetizers like spinach pockets..it's a mix..he says a few countries..like Model UN..how could one city host over a 1000 restaurants...is that how it works in other places? essentially it's for good community groups meeting and celebrating with occasions..chicken rice and spinach..well I am glad I had a nice dinner

We were staying at a hotel on the street and stopped in. The owner recommended the specials and we were not disappointed! The food was so tasty, stuffed eggplant and zucchini. The yogurt sauce to dip pita bread into was delicious I have to say for a dinner dining experience I was so impressed and happy with feeling attended to, the joy he has in cooking these special meals is evident in his enthusiasm in describing the ingredients. The desert served was a fantastic cheese, honey and pastry. Topped off with a recipe tea that I have never tasted anywhere & will be coming back for. A must try... I have no idea what the negative reviews are about. It's not a chain restaurant, it's an owner run and loved- there is a lot of pride in the food served.
